🌿 Ginkgo Bioworks To Go Public In $17.5 Billion Deal under the ticker $DNA Investor Deck
$17.5 m EV is of 100x 2021 sales & 15x projected 2025 sales + they aren't even projecting adj. EBITDA positive until 2025.
“usage-based ” revenue is great - by helping its enterprise clients to carry out R&D around cell programming at scale, but this business model has to eventually lead to product revenue (or licenses).
Data of Ginkgo Bioworks seems to be the play (3.4B+ unique gene sequences pulled from all public databases- 440M proprietary gene sequences acquired) with bottlenecks moving from genetic engineering to data processing to manufacturing. Should we value Ginko like a tech company?
